51°µÍø has been one of four colleges and universities in the state of Ohio selected to host the Ohio Teacher Bootcamp program in Summer 2025. The funding award, received through the Governor of Ohio’s Office of Workforce Transformation, will provide resources for over 100 local educators to go through the program at no cost and complete three hours of graduate credit.

Collaborating with current SSU faculty members, K-12 teachers will learn how to incorporate career connections into their classes. Participants will also have the opportunity to learn about healthcare, advanced manufacturing or artificial intelligence, computer science, and immersive technology. The sessions will provide hands-on instruction and experience with industry advancements.

The Ohio Teacher Bootcamp program will take place Jul. 21-25 on SSU’s campus from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. every day. Registration and more information is available online at shawnee.edu/teacher-bootcamp.
