Are you an international student interested in Shawnee State?

Welcome! Our Office of Admission and Center for International Programs and Study Abroad at 51°µÍø work closely to assist international students interested in attending our university.

To apply to 51°µÍø, submit the following:

  • $50 Application Fee
  • Final High School Transcript
  • of (High school transcripts or International college/university)
    • Optional Alternative:ÌýOfficial NACES EvaluationÌýor AICE EvaluationÌýof all secondary coursework, if the school is outside the United States
    • SSU requiresÌýa course-by-courseÌýevaluation by a member of either the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES) for all post-secondary (college level) academic coursework earned outside the United States. A list of accepted evaluation companies is available atÌýÌýfor NACES.
    • Please request the evaluation be sent directly to 51°µÍø via the evaluation company’s portal for Shawne State or emailed to rwarner@shawnee.edu
  • Standardized Test ScoreÌý(SAT or ACT)
  • English Proficiency Score (IELTS/TOEFL/Duolingo)
  • Bank StatementÌý($32,575)
  • Copy of Current PassportÌý(Must have 6 months validity)

After we receive your application, you will receive a letter of acceptance from the Office of Admission with information about attending orientation, registering for classes, and how to access MySSU – your official student portal to access important information such as financial aid notices, transfer credits, and account information.

You will also receive a letter of acceptance from the Dean of the College of Arts & Sciences or Dean of the College of Professional Studies, depending on your chosen field of study.
