51°µÍř’s Center for Lifelong Learning will host the Summer Educator Conference on campus, Jul. 8 & 9. The event will feature keynote speakers and industry experts sharing innovative resources and engaging topics that relate to the latest trends and news within the education industry. Educators and administrators in grades Pre-K-12 are invited to attend.
The Summer Educator Conference will feature two keynote speakers – Antonio Smith and Stephen White.

An author, professional development coach, and community activist, Antonio Smith is originally from Columbus, Ohio and was a member of the Ohio State University’s national championship winning team in 2002, before playing three seasons in the National Football League. Over the last 15 years, Smith has used the lessons he learned on and off the field to assist leaders, executives, and high performing teams reach their fullest potential.

Stephen White is the Chief Strategy Officer and General Counsel at the Center for Science & Industry (COSI), where he oversees the development of optimizing the entrepreneurial business model for the organization. He has developed the theory of “Servant Learning” and engagement strategy to bridge workforce education gaps. At COSI he leads the Learning Lunchbox Model of Engagement, seeking to bridge the education gap and digital divide for underserved youth by delivering educational kits to the most vulnerable alongside critical human services, such as foodbanks.
The Summer Educator Conference will feature three learning tracks for participants – the Science of Reading, Education & Workforce, and S.T.E.A.M. (science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics).
